Suzanne sat surrounded by computer interface devices that she really wished that she didn't need. She drew on her old Wacom pad, using her left hand to monitor her work on a tactile output pad. On occasion, she would type on an ordinary keyboard or run a hand over her braille output pad. Brian softly padded up to her room, intent on surprising her. She knew that he had recently been discharged from the army, but didn't really believe that he would come back to see her. She had been disappointed by so many of her friends. After that pack of dogs tore her limb from limb and literally chewed her face off, her friends somehow couldn't relate to her anymore. Or, more accurately, she could no longer go out with them and participate in the activities that she used to enjoy. My Bio

I am a photographer, programmer, engineer, writer, and all around nerd. I do some photo-manipulation, but not a whole lot. I'm just starting to learn how to draw. Wish me luck :)

I was born in a semi-rural area south of Detroit. Since we found ourselves going to some of the nicer parts of Michigan whenever we could, we decided to move up to the Cadillac area. I can't imagine ever moving back to the city.

We live on a small ten acre parcel about a quarter mile from the Manistee National Forest. We share our house with our furred friends, and our property with various wild and domesticated animals.

I love water, the great outdoors, and technology. Trying to integrate all of that together is an interesting challenge.

I haven't added much in the past few years.  I need to go through my many gigabytes of photos and pick more out.  But I kinda want to wait until I get a better Internet connection.  Lake County, Michigan is a huge Internet desert. Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how to post text with HTML tags and separate things into folders.  The interface seems to have changed. So I'll post some science fiction and maybe some urban fantasy fairly soon.  I hope.  It depends on how much the interface aggravates me.

Back from da U.P.

We took a family trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  I have a lot of wonderful childhood memories from that area, and it was wonderful to share it with the kids. Now, I am sorting through several gigabytes of photos and video.  We took a tour to a copper mine and the videos came out better than I thought they would. I'll be posting things as I sort through them.

I can't take credit for the Trust Machines universe. Dkfenger created it. It has a huge following, and lots of fan fiction, including what I wrote. There's more info in my Trust Machines folder description.
